Mr.Obama and Sally Palin are TOO FAT, yo!

NO MORE TIBET! KOREAN WAR! US ARMY for Willie Mays, so no homer record BECAUSE THE CIA FLEW B-24 LIBERATORS, FROM TIBET AND TAIWAN, in 1948, inciting riot. The US invaded China at least three times, Sand Pebbles, CIA, and Yalu perimeter, slammed back to Inchon and to Parallel 38, by the PRC.

Expect their lawyers over here, for your stupidity, at calling American natives the outrageous, 'INDIANS,' which are not even from Stanford, in order to suppress how the Ming Dynasty's White Fleet sailed the world, to leave sailors in the Indies and triangle arrowhead tech with England, and then crossbow tech, with Europe, which was generally in use in China, when the riotous Greeks were fighting Persians.

Barry Bonds says, "Isaiah," when he hits 756 into the Cove, so he gets prosecuted, for revealing Jews are from Ethiopia, on the downlow.

FBI Director Mueller fabricated three sets of evidence AND DESTROYED EACH, IN TURN, including trial exhibits for CR98-0087 Larson, in the course of tainting the entire world, by his USA misconduct, in San Francisco, right before his appointment, to Director of the FBI.

Why does tainted Mueller get to remain, where bills of attainder caused the FBI to refuse to report discovery of 911 terrorists, in the USA?

The attack went down because the NSA and CIA actually prevented the FBI from reporting, TO ITS OWN SUPERIORS, presence of terrorists, in the USA, which participated in the air attacks, 9/11/2001.

Pigs riot and incite. Obama has caused police to shoot blacks, INCLUDING OSCAR GRANT, III, and Lovelle Mixon to shoot five OPD, four to death, one critically wounded, while he was blasted, but OPD and BART and John Burris all blew me off and hung up.

BART PD Chief Gary Gee is resigning, wouldn't you know! Why does Oakland PD get to hang up on me, did they hire LEVI JOHNSTON, as Chief? YOU DO NOT GET TO HIRE OUT-OF-STATERS, to come into California and riot, San Francisco and Oakland! Are you all Sallies?

Sally the Pig is a media Suicide Girl, chasing Levi Johnston, in error.

What a pig, is the fabulous SARAH PALIN! She is flopping all over Levi Johnston's brief play, in the lower 48, which will end, now, if Levi is at all smart and informed, about riot and interstate nuisance and conspiracy, deeper, than creeps who say, "nukuler," and cannot conceive of how BOTH the costs and persons are corrupted, there.

No design will overshadow the corruption of BOTH tainted funds and persons, and of their illegal agendas, to cross-contaminate. NO good design will be effected, under the circumstances of fraud, which complicate business, fatally.

If you previously LOST a bush-pilot election, where all the crashers tried to lose to Joe Plumber, and Granny Maddie calls the winner a Kenyan and he loses Prop.8 in Cali and Janet's Arizona, for letting Joe stay on for half an hour, Debate III, you LOST, in order to save your own, miserable, stupid LIVES.

Bush pilots DIE, poorly informed flappers.

They DIE. In choppers, in single-engine prop planes. They DIE, dead as can be.

When the BRATS had their TITS twisted by Saladin, and so they were sent back to BRITAIN, they left their offal, in Jerusalem, called a hot, new word, since from their Pope's SHIT FOR BRAINS, they could get God to tell them, they had a couple of things to do, before they could stay, in Jerusalem, next in the Victorian Crusade, 1882: invade Beijing, through Shiites in Iran.

Fart hard for bon Jovi, on Texas-TV! Blast the Prezzie's balls, out of his perple undies, with awesome, concentrated gas!

Sally's alley is all browned out. Go home, fool! Bush pilots were born, to lose control, and they will. At war, THEY CRASH, HARD.

Perhaps you have all heard, of the famous JOHN McCAIN, or even of his fine years in North Viet Namese custody, for repeatedly bombing the Hanoi Power Station, in a lousy Skyhawk, which cannot keep doing that sort of dirt, without a SAM of some kind getting Johnny down.

747 coming out of the sky, gonna take you sky-high-airhead-airliners, down to Memphis, on a midnight special ride! Got Burt Sugarman?

You can see Russia, haha about Levi's tricking Playgirl, I can see meatwads, plural, playing U2 sedition into 2011 disasters, foretold!

When you are trying to crash, DO NOT KEEP BUZZING THE AIRHEAD-STRIPSHOW, or you are GOING TO CRASH.

So you won't get health care, from already doomed Obama, but tards, you let the deregulated power deals corrupt big construction, SO WHAT PART OF NUKES OR OIL CAN STUPID SALLY FUND, when the Chinese are about to sue her for being a cowgirl, who shoots mooses and pretends they are some sort of native, if she gets to?

YOU MAY NOT HAVE YOUR COUNTRY BACK, until you shoot down some lousy bushwackers, Tenzin.

An account of ecstatic sex trigger for a nirvikalpa samadhi

Thought my account could be of interest to anyone exploring non-duality, Kaula Tantra, etc . My Maya Gaia website (begun in 1997) http://geocities.com/maya-gaia/mysticalexp.html is a chronicle of my efforts to integrate a spontaneous transcendent experience which I had back in 1970. At the time, I was almost completely naive regarding religious, mystical, metaphysical or paranormal epiphenomena - a critical factor in lending credibility to the episode - but the experience started my search for explanation that is still ongoing. My research over the years has led to the conclusion that I experienced a Nirvikalpa Samadhi or Cosmic Consciousness with classical featured remembered in extraordinary detail. I'm assuming anyone well-read on the subject would find my subsequent speculations after-the-fact of less interest as they are simply extrapolations of my limited perspectives on some non-dual resources on the Internet- selected through a process of passing them through the filter of my intuitive samadhi insight to see what sticks.

Find out how to use your voice to save your life

What if you had a device that would reliably produce peace of mind, elevate your mood, and support your growth into who you most wish to be?
Good news: you have just such a device. It's your voice!
The ancients understood that our voice is the steering wheel of our thoughts and feelings. When you focus your attention on the sound of your own voice while repeating time-tested mantras ("mind-protectors"), you lead your mind and heart in an Ultimately True, Beautiful, and Healthful direction. And because we all live in the atmosphere of our thoughts, your quality of life will be dramatically improved.
Kailash (Kurt Bruder, Ph.D., M.Ed.) provides you with the tools you need to take up or deepen a life-saving practice of devotional chanting in his groundbreaking book & CD set, Following Sound into Silence: Chanting Your Way Beyond Ego into Bliss (Hay House).

great book by Robert Svoboda.. very fun reading, it's rare these days i find a book and don't put it down til it's done. but this is one I read this week for the first time. It's written by robert but its the words of his friend-guru-Vimalananda, a very interesting Aghori Nath. There is lots of info in here. if you like to read mystical stories of shape-shifting and special siddhis, here's the book. it's definetly not Advaita vedanta as stated by Vimalananda himself, but im sure none of us care. It's crosses all borders just as mysticism does itself.

An Experience in Nirvana

Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor had an opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: One morning, she realized she was having a massive stroke. As it happened -- as she felt her brain functions slip away one by one, speech, movement, understanding -- she studied and remembered every moment. This is a powerful story about how our brains define us and connect us to the world and to one another.

Want to see Tantra Temples? Come with me in November!

"India is not a country but a mystery. A mystery of a rising lotus as chaste as the morning dew, delicate and sublime. India is the immanent and the transcendental manifested simultaneously leaving deep feelings of wonder and amazement, just as those experienced by a child. So distant and high as the Himalayas and as close and as near as our breath, ethereal like the rainbow and yet so real and alive." - OSHO: from India my Love

Come with me this year to discover Mother India in all her exoticism and learn ancient Tantra along the way. I'll be teaching some different aspect of Tantra most days on our tour of India. Imagine us doing some ancient breath technique together as the sun rises on the Taj Mahal. We'll even do sacred ritual at one of the temples in Khajuraho! What could be better?

The Heart of India Tour is Nov 19 – Dec 1. If you‘ve always wanted to go to India and just would not go by yourself or if you’d like to go and be part of a Tantric learning environment as we travel, this tour may be the thing for you. You will experience shifts in being on a daily basis. India does that to you.

Tour Highlights:
•	Discover the spiritual wealth of four major faiths: Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism and Jainism
•	See the amazing Taj Mahal at dawn
•	Explore Jaipur the Pink City and ride on elephant back to the famed Amber Fort
•	Visit the Kama Sutra Temples of Kahjuraho
•	Perform Puja at the holy lake in Pushkar
•	Attend Hindu prayer ceremony at the ghats along the Ganges River
•	Experience amazing Saranath where Buddha gave his first speech after attaining enlightenment
…and much more

Your cost for the tour is $2200. This includes all hotel accommodations, meals, ground transportation, in India flights, train, bus and entrance to all monuments. It does not include air travel to India, shopping, tips or alcoholic beverages. In planning the first tour in 2006, I found that travel agents could not get special deals on airfare so I decided to let you use your own mileage and rewards to select the type of travel you would want to India. You must act fast since then airlines are steadily raising their prices.

I am limiting the number of people to 16 so if you want to go, you must let me know as soon as possible. Please let me know if you are even thinking about it. And you must get to Delhi on November 19th. The actual tour starts on the morning of the 20th.

Call me at (202) 686-7440 or write me at info@butterflyworkshops.com.

If you want to see a trailer of the tour go to www.slackalicefilms.com and when you enter click on "view".

Ego Bondage and Illusions of Truth (?)

Ego Bondage and Illusions of Truth (?)

EGO, BONDAGE, AND ILLUSIONS OF TRUTH

All of our emotional bondages are created and held in place by that which is
known as ego... Ego is the belief that we are these bodies, emotions, and
thoughts.. Therefore when anything goes against any of these systems we hold
it to be an assault against our persona..
Depending on our belief system and identity which is already in place it can
be mildly irritating to downright devastating..
If we encountered a traumatic situation where there was a belief that
impending death was just around the corner then that trauma may be re-run
again and again in the psyche, creating ever more pain and perceived
trauma.. But there is a way to short circuit these illusions of truth..
For anything that is not LIBERATING is not Truth at all but an illusion of
truth.. It is these illusions that we will address. How are they created and
what sustains them? And if they are illusions how can we move beyond them?
If we are not this ego structure then what are we? How can peace of mind be
attained and preserved? Where do we begin and where will this search end?
Believe it or not that which you fear the most can be THAT
which liberates you in the end. The largest perceived fear can be the
greatest liberator. Please bear with me in this. Right now you are probably
thinking that this woman has a serious screw loose somewhere! And if I were
in your place I would probably think the same thing right about now. But I
have been where you are and have escaped the concrete fears and thought
constructs and emotional baggage which kept me bound for many years.
I have walked the path and therefore can speak from the position of direct
experiential knowledge and not hearsay. All I will speak of has been
acquired by direct experience. I do not have a PHD but rather a direct
knowledge of Truth as it is. It is this truth that I wish to share with you
today..
From the moment we are born the conditionings begin. And the conditions of
life are set. We are born into this world with a body. Some bodies are seen
as perfect and some as flawed. we are born into a family. Some are glad at
the arrival and perhaps some are not. So all these things begin to create
the conditionings and conditions of our lives. The views of our parents and
society and friends all have an impact on our thought structures and
perceptions. These all come together to create our basic outlook on life ad
what we hold to be truth. These create our perceptions of truth. If you are
supported and told you are smart then you have confidence in whatever you
do.
While on the other hand if you are always told you are stupid and ugly then
this will color your world and view of reality. This colors your thoughts of
who you perceive yourself to be, along with all the other events in life
which also color and inter-play within your reality framework.
One person that has always been sheltered within a loving family will see
the world as a kind and beneficial beautiful place to be. Where as one that
has come from a harsh and abusive environment will see the world colored as
a place to be continually on guard. While there are events which unfold in
everyones life which will skew these basic belief systems.
Now you begin to see just how much the conditionings create our basic view
of reality as we know it.. Or "think" it to be.
Now with this out of the way we begin right where you are at this moment in
time. So the first thing we do is to look at the fact that the past is past.
So if your are re-running the tapes of the past let's look at the fact that
by running them over and over you can change nothing. All you are doing is
re-inforcing past nonsense that is keeping you bound in one form or another.
If it were not keeping you bound it would have passed right out of your
awareness. But for whatever reason that you perceive you are continually
holding on to this perceived slight or hurt or trauma. And you have to admit
it is not doing anything constructive in your life.
Now lets look at the other waste of energy which we continually find
ourselves in. And this is the "what if" factor. Trying to live in the future
just never works. as the ONLY place that you can ever truly live is in the
present moment of now...
So what is happening when you are running the past tapes and the what if
tapes? In essence you are passing life by.. You are only existing! You are
Not living at all.. Life is in a holding pattern. Continually circling
around and around. And the more you feed the past and the what ifs the more
they grow into unmanageable cyclones of wasted energy and efforts. As you
are attempting to deal with an change something which is already gone. It
lives only within your illusion of truth. And the conflict is there because
of the ego identification with the body and emotions and thoughts. And in
Truth you are none of these things.
So now you ask where do I go from here!? And from here I say it is time you
found out the Truth of who and what you really are. Once you Know at long
last just what comprises your Being then the rest of that which is illusion
will just drop away of its own accord.. When these things are no longer
given any energy then they will just dissipate into the vapors of unreality
that they are. Like a drop of dew evaporates in the sunlight. these
illusions will dissipate under the light of truth.
Are you ready to begin the never ending adventure? Are you ready to begin to
really live life to the fullest. to grab and rest in the freedom which is
just waiting for you to reach out and accept it? For it is ALWAYS there and
has always been there. It is only your own blinders which keep you from
seeing it.
Is your fear that you are nothing and nobody? Is your great fear that of
death and that you will cease to be? Let us go into these fears and see what
comes out of them.
Let us proceed to look at what is temporary and transient. What is it about
you that comes and goes. When you peel away the layers of the transient what
is it that remains? When you come to what remains you will come to the truth
of your Being!! You will see that there was nothing to fear and that there
is only Freedom that remains. Won't that be a lovely thing to remain. Just
FREEDOM to BE. The Freedom of knowing that you are the unbound Truth of
Existence. That all you perceived was just an illusion of bondage and fear
which never had any reality at all, except that which you yourself gave it.
So are you ready to unravel all the fears and thoughts and emotions that
have kept you tied on the wheel of Karma? Are you ready to let go of the
desires that keep you bound to the wheel of birth and death?
For it is not the actions which keep you on the wheel of karma going around
and around. It is the thought and intent of the actions. And it is the
re-actions of the actions which come against you which once again keep you
bound to the wheel of birth and death. Just going around and around in the
never ending spiral called life and death... birth and re-birth...
We keep cycling through the same old patterns again and again until we can
break the cycle. And in each life we will draw the same patterns to
ourselves and will keep creating the same illusions of truth until we can
break free and can see them for what they are. And once we see through them
then the pattern will drop and we move onward to a new experience..
Look at your life and see what patterns keep coming up again and again. Now
let's walk through the door of Knowledge to Liberation and the Freedom with
awaits.
what is mind? Is it a physical thing? Let us first look here. What is the
mind comprised of? Is not the mind comprised of thoughts? And just what are
thoughts? Are they some concrete existence? NO! Thoughts come and go like
waves on the sea. First one thought is there and then another and so on and
so on. One arises and falls and then the next and so on infinitum. But there
can only be one thought that makes its appearance at a time. Sometimes these
thoughts will start in a whirlpool one after another just going around and
around until you are dizzy and disoriented just from the sheer continued
motion and cycling around and around. But look at it again. Even thought
there are certain thought patterns which keep appearing and cycling they
ultimately come and go.So if they come and go they are not concrete in
nature but fluid. And like waves on the ocean they can appear like a ripple
or with enough energy can appear as a tidal wave pulling you out into a sea
of emotion and fear and despair. all because they have touched upon an
illusion of truth. They come and rock your world. Cause waves in your
reality. So let us continue on in this search until we uncover the Reality
that cannot be shaken.
When you come to the Truth you will be set Free as the Truth always IS and
is the bases for ALL of creation. ALL has proceeded from Truth - is
sustained by truth - and will once again return to truth. And illusions
being what they are in the end must disappear; when the illusion is
uncovered it ceases to be!
So we see that mind is comprised of individual thoughts which come and go.
One thought manifesting at a time. So mind is Not concrete in nature. Mind
is an illusion. Mind has no substance. Let us move on now to thought.
What is thought? Thought also has no concrete nature. So exactly what and
where do thoughts manifest from? They have no substance. They arise from
nowhere and return to nowhere. So why is so much importance given to
something which comes and goes from nowhere to nowhere. When it leaves out
of our awareness and perception where does it go? It only has life while in
the framework of our perceptions. When these thoughts float into our
awareness what happens? We give it life by then ascribing emotions to it. Do
we not? When a thought comes in if you look at it and dwell on it does it
not elicit an emotion? So this emotion gives the thought life for that
moment in time. Now once again let us follow the emotion.
Emotions once again come and go. It is something that is particular to
yourself alone. No one else feels your emotion but you. Others may see your
reaction to the emotion but the emotion itself is yours alone. Is emotion a
concrete thing? No! You cannot have an emotion that lives independently on
its own. You are the one that gives it life. Your attention to it gives it
energy and life. And once again emotions come and go like the waves of an
ocean. In and out. High tide and low tide. And since they are transient in
nature they are not the reality of your Being. They are but ripples on the
sea of Consciousness. One emotion arises and is there for some time until
replaced by another emotion. Once again they are only waves and ripples
without any concrete form. Emotions are created and held in place by mind
and thought. And we have already seen that mind and thought have no
substance and are only passing illusions. And these illusions create and
sustain all the Ill-lusions that keep us bound.
So let us review. We know that we are not the physical body. Nor can we be
the mind which is created by thoughts. Nor are we the individual thoughts.
Nor are we the conglomerate of thoughts. If we are neither of these then it
follows that we also cannot be the emotions which the mind and thoughts
create and sustain. And isn't our whole persona just made up and held
together by all these illusions of mind thought and emotion? So let us keep
going and seeing just what is left? My goodness do I even exist at all? I
think it is safe to say yes you do exist--just not the way you thought and
perceived.!
So when we take away the body, the mind, the thoughts, the emotions just
what is left?
How do you know you have thoughts? How do you know you dream at night? Or
that there were no dreams.
It is because of conscious awareness! You are this Conscious Awareness... It
sees the thoughts.. But it is not the thoughts. It is aware of the emotions.
But it is Not the emotions. It is aware of form but it is not form. It is
Not concrete in nature yet clearly it IS...
You are in fact NO - Body... and you are No-Thing... You are Awareness -
energy - Vibration - truth - and Bliss... and these are Eternal in Nature..
They are what creates and sustains existence. All form while appearing and
disappearing is created by these alone. And therefore Always exists. The
form may change but it is eternal for it never was the concrete illusion of
truth which we see.
See beyond the form to the Formless.. See beyond the illusions of truth to
the Reality of Truth. Now let us continue onward.
Now we come to the point of putting all this together. Since we are in
Reality Conscious Awareness and Energy and Vibration and Truth and Bliss...
Just what thought or emotion or physical happening can touch us?! None can
truly touch out essence!! so ALL of the perceived traumas and hurts have
happened only to this body.. and you are Not this body.
This is how we diffuse the bondage. When the pain comes again go into it...
Go to the root. There is nothing to fear except fearing the fear. So go into
the fear fully and see that when you reach the end of it that it will just
dissipate as it is only comprised of of illusions of truth. When thoughts
come and go just see them as passing clouds with no substance. Do not give
them form and life... Let them come and go like waves on the ocean. Instead
of being carried away by a tidal wave get in the boat and float downstream
and enjoy the ride.
When you drop the mind of thoughts and illusions you will reach the still
waters of the Peace which passes all understanding. You will be the
everlasting waters. You will not thirst again.
You alone crate the fears and bondages of life. And you have the power to
let all of them go. Just go into the illusion and it will dissipate before
your very eyes. You will not cease to exist nor will you find more bondage.
What you will find is the doorway to freedom.
You have never truly been born nor have you died you are beyond these forms
and plays of life. As all this is created by mind and thought. So go beyond
all these illusions to what and who your really are..
Live life to the fullest! You are here to explore and be existence.. So drop
all the self doubts and illusions of truth that keep you gong around and
around. You are Life. .. You are Bliss when you drop the illusive mind and
thought. You are Sat-Truth, Chit-Awareness, and Anand-Bliss...This IS the
Truth of your Being... And what in reality can touch or harm this truth?!!!
NOTHING AT ALL!!! NOTHING AT ALL!!!
Love and Blessings

Do you know who you are?

You think you’re a leaf.
A young leaf uncurling in the sun.

Perfect in form,
You grow and absorb light.

Surrounded by older leaves,
all pushing towards the sunlight at the top of the tree.

All the leaves around you are similar in shape and colour,
but only you have your exact shape
and only you have your perspective,
only you fill the space you’re in.

You’ve grown to be an individual,
With a unique view and a unique life.

The older leaves take on beautiful colours,
and the colours turn into decay.

You mourn as the oldest leaves curl and fall,
to rot into the ground.
You mourn because you have forgotten who you are.

No longer young you start to have fear,
alone now and isolated.
you exist in separation.
aware of your short life span,
a tiny leaf dying into the infinate nothing.

You are not dying,
you have just forgotten who you are.

you are a tree.

you only have ideas about your life as an individual,
there is only the concept that we’re a leaf.

in truth there is no separation,

only tree.

Hi folks, I'm a new member. Is Advaitra Tantra an eastern philosophy or practice? Is it derived from Hindu or Buddhism?
I'd be interested in some info about this. I'm really into expanding my spiritual life. Most of the books I read are Buddhist, Vietnamese or Tibetan varieties, or eastern derived, like The Power of Now and Gary Zukav.
Thanks for the info

A bried intro to the Atma Spurana program

Namaskar,

I just joined this group, but this happens to be my first. I thought it is very appropriate that this 2-day meditation program called the Atma Spurana*, designed by Nithyananda can truly give an immediate "knowing" of the Advaitic truth - straight, direct experience, and a validation of Vedanta or Tantra, whichever path you resonate primarily with. Free discourses by Nithyananda on the Shiva Sutras, (specifically the Vignana Bhairava Tantra) are being held in several cities.

Also being offered (after the initial level meditation program) is a rare chance at a subtle initiation called the Nithya Spiritual Healing Prayer Initiation, for inner Self-healing and experience of Nithya Ananda, or eternal Bliss.

Kumbha Mela

Hi,
This is a request for some advice regarding Kumbha Mela.

I've been living in northern Calif. and Oregon, but right now I'm in India on a six month trip. I'm currently on the coast of Karnataka and will be heading south into Kerala soon, and then over to Tamil Nadu.

There is a Kumbha Mela in Allahabad. In Jan/Feb of 2007 and I'm considering altering course and heading up there. I'm not interested in seeing the festival and all the strange and interesting sights I'm sure will be there. However, if there is a chance of connecting with a tantra master, it'd would be worth the trip for me. Even if I could get a lead on locating a tantra master who worked on a one-on-one basis with a small number of individuals, I'd feel the trip was worthwhile.

So, if there anyone out there who's been to a Kumbha Mela or has some information related to it's usefulness in finding or connecting with a tantric master, particularly one following the left handed path, I appreciate hearing your thoughts.

Jai Ma!

Dattatreya

I have become fascinated by some of the works of Dattatreya, most especially the "Avadhuta Gita". Has anyone else come across this?

I found an old underground press translation of it from the 70's (referencing a 1930's translation), and then later a fully annotated version on the web. More recently I was able to find several versions available through the local library system, although this system also has one of the most extensive Eastern Literature collections in existence.

I had really gotten into Alan Watts as a youth, and that had a profound effect on me, but it wasn't until Dattatreya that I really became aware of Advaita.

Advaita in the Srimad Bhaagavatam

Aum Namo Narayanaaya!

Srimad Bhaagavatam 11.28.36, 37 (Also Uddhava Gita 23.36, 37)

"The Supreme Lord is self-luminous, unborn and imperishable. He is pure transcendental consciousness (mahA anubhUtiH) and perceives everything. One without a second (advitIyaH), He is realized only after ordinary words cease. By Him the power of speech and life airs are set into motion.

Whatever apparent duality is perceived in the self is simply the confusion of the mind. Indeed, such supposed duality (vikalpaH) has no basis to rest upon apart from the Atman.

The duality (dvayaM) of the five material elements is perceived only in terms of names and forms. Those who say this duality is real are pseudoscholars vainly proposing fanciful theories without basis in fact."

~ BBT translation

"This selfluminous, unborn, immeasurable Greatness of Understanding aware of everything is the One Without a Second where words find closure, and by Whom impelled the speech and life airs move.

Whatever the notion of duality the self might have is but a delusion to the unique soul, as it indeed has no basis outside of that very self

The dualistic imaginative interpretation [in terms of good and bad, by so-called scholars of this in names and forms perceivable duality which unmistakably consists of the five elements, is only vain.

~ Swami Prabhupâda translation

"The Supreme is never hidden from veiw.
It is self-luminous, unborn and imeasurable.
It is pure trancendent conciousness, fully aware.
It is one without a second.
It is beyond speach-
For it is That which impels speach
And by which the vitalit functions.

Indeed, there is no basis
For a perception of duality
In the Self -
This is simply the product
Of a confused mind.

The world of seeming multipicities
That apears through the five tattvas
As name and form
Has no reality.
Those who argue that it does,
And that Vedic passages referring to them
Should be taken literaly,
Do so because the do not understand."

~Swami Ambikananda Saraswati translation

To be continued...............................

Aum! Shanti!

In the West, Tantra-Yoga is widely misunderstood as a form of sexual libertinism. While it is true that some schools of Tantra-Yoga make use of sexual ritual as a transformative tool, most Tantric schools favor a more conservative approach. But even the so-called “left-hand” schools regard self-control in sexual matters as a supreme virtue. In any case, Tantra does not seek to maximize pleasure but to realize bliss (ânanda), which is the inalienable characteristic of our innermost Self.

....no one designs the forms of the rivers; they flow by themselves. The tantrika is like a river that never stops flowing in the divine because the divine never stops flowing in it.
"In making these offerings, in receiving this initiation, you gain access to the knowledge of your own divine substance, and you open yourself to the Tantric experience of time no longer passing. Your meditation will be easier. The illusion of believing that time can be parceled out will appear to you in all its absurdity, and you will taste the nectar of undivided time.
"Initiation also involves a rupture with the myths of the specific society in which you live, establishing a profound and unconditional tie with all human beings and with all that has previously seemed inanimate to you. Initiation releases you from taboos and social, dietary, and sexual prohibitions, and more importantly, the prohibitions linked to ideas and thought. It's a liberation with regard to dogma, to belief, to doubt, and to theory. The tantrika plunges into reality with the whole bodymind. He doesn't skim; he experiments. He lives the teaching, and by his living he continues the flow of the Tantra. That's the meaning of the word Tantra: continuation-continuation of the Tantric experience through the tantrika. A chain of women and men who risk the real and are no longer subject to the compromises social beings submit to. Initiation marks as well the secret in which the tantrika must lock himself away until the day when his heart completely opens. Only then can he identify himself as a tantrika. That's why, when you leave here, you will pretend to know nothing about Shivaic Tantrism. You won't take part in a single discussion on the subject. You won't write any books before your heart opens, keeping within you the secret of your initiations until the day when the fruit ripens. You will practice in secret, not distinguished by rudraksa grains, a Shivaic trident, or anything else. If, by chance, certain people talk about the Tantra, don't correct their mistakes, don't guide them, don't direct them to me or any other master. The aspiring tantrika must find his master by himself."
-Tantric Quest An Encounter With Absolute Love
Daniel Odier

.....as soon as there is a system, the Tantric spirit is lost. As soon as stockpiling begins, the Tantric spirit is lost. This awareness is what gives Tantric writings their unique fluency, like a river that can't be stopped. As soon as devotion for one's master makes us ignore the master in ourselves, we no longer take part in spirituality. As soon as we lose contact with reality in order o follow the Absolute, we lose contact with the Absolute. The entire Absolute is contained in reality. There's not a trace of it elsewhere.
"Guard the empty, open, silent temple. That's the only way to experience non-duality......

Hi everyone......

I'm new to this tribe. Hence, the introduction.

I was directed to this by a dear friend and wellwisher Mike DeVito. Everything about me can be gathered, both, from my profile, as

well as from my website.

With the humble knowledge that I have in esoteric sciences, my main aim of my visits to US for past few years (on a regular basis)

is to create a 'true awareness' among people about 'what lies ahead' as the FUTURE for my friends/clients...

Yes, after having spent a huge amount on tickets, stay & other expenses, the remuneration also has to be considered.

Unlike other visits, this time I intend to do things on individual basis. Starting with their Vedic Astrological Chart and moving on to

'solving' problems through Mantras, Tantra, Gem Therapy and personal teachings based on ancient Hindu tenets.

I'll be coming to U.S around Feb/March.& having base mainly in L.A.& Colorado .

Going to other places is still tentative....All depends on the 'economic' factors listed above...Pl.do let me know if that is possible

and how.
>
> Sincerely;
>

fear and tantra.....

here's a great quote that i just ran across....

The Principle of the Hologram....

one discovery long known to Tantricas is the principle of hologram, of the part containing the whole. just as a small drop of water contains the whole ocean, so too does each cell of the body contain the whole cosmos. tantricas have discovered this truth by witnessing impartially the body, mind, and emotions, travelinng deeper and further toward the very core of life and death. this witnessing is the essence of meditation. what differentiates the Tantric approach from others is that the Tantra adept does not avoid any aspect of being human. for example, love and sex are considered dangerous by teachers of many meditative approaches, as they are afraid the seeker will lose the thread of awareness. they are afraid of the animal in us and hope to bypass it. their philosophies are based on fear, which cannot lead to freedom but only to protection. we can see the result of repressive ideologies: celibacy paves the way to perversion; perceiving sex as sin creates a climate in which pornography, prostitiution, and clhild abuse flourish. when ever a person tries to repress something out of fear, that very thing becomes the master, and the person a cowering slave to that denied aspect of themselves.....

Courage

QUALITY. EVERYTHING ELSE IS ORDINARY AND CAN FOLLOW, BUT COURAGE IS THE MOST FUNDAMENTAL THING, THE FIRST THING.
You are a seed. The seed can have four possibilities. The seed may remain a seed forever, closed, windowless, not in communion with existence, dead, because life means communion with existence. And the seed is dead, it has not yet communicated with the earth, with the sky, with the air, with the wind, with the sun, with the stars. It has not yet made any attempt to have a dialogue with all that exists. It is utterly lonely, enclosed, encapsulated into itself, surrounded by a Great Wall of China. The seed lives in its own grave.
The first possibility is that the seed may remain a seed. That is very unfortunate—a man may remain simply a seed. With all the potential at your disposal, with all the blessings ready to shower on you, you may never open your doors.
The second possibility is that the seed may be courageous enough, may dive deep into the soil, may die as an ego, may drop its armor, may start a communion with existence, may become one with the earth. Great courage is needed, because who knows? This death may be ultimate, there may be no birth following it. What is the guarantee? There is no guarantee; it is a gamble. Only a few gather courage enough to gamble, to risk.
To be a seeker is the beginning of the gamble. You are risking our life, you are risking your ego, You are risking because you are dropping all your securities, all your safety arrangements. You are opening windows—who knows who is going to come in? The friend or the enemy—who knows? You are becoming vulnerable. That’s what seeking is all about. That’s what Buddha was teaching his whole life. Forty two years continuously, transforming seeds into plants—that was his work—transforming ordinary human beings into seekers.
A seeker is a plant, a sprout—soft, delicate. The seed is never in danger, remember. What danger can there be for the seed? It is absolutely protected. But the plant is always in danger, the plant is very soft. The seed is like a stone, hard, hidden behind a heard crust. But the plant has to pass through a thousand and one hazards. That is the second stage; the seed dissolving into the soil, the man disappearing as an ego, disappearing as a personality, becoming a plant.
The third possibility, which is even more rare, because not all plants are going to attain that height where they can bloom into flower, a thousand and one flowers… Very few human beings attain the second stage, and very few of those who attain the second stage attain the third, the stage of the flower. Why can’t they attain the third stage, the stage of the flower? Because of greed, because of miserliness, they are not ready to share… because of a state of unlovingness.
Courage is needed to become a plant, and love is needed to become a flower. A flower means the tree is opening up its heart, releasing its perfume, giving its soul, poring its being into existence. The seed can become a plant, although it is difficult to drop the armor, but in one way it is simple. The seed will only be gathering more and more, accumulating more and more; the seed only takes from the soil. The tree only takes from the water, from the air, from the sun; its greed is not disturbed; on the contrary, its ambition is fulfilled. It goes on becoming bigger and bigger. But a moment comes when you have taken so much that now you have to share. You have been benefited so much, now you have to serve. God has given you so much, now you have to thank, be grateful—and the only way to be grateful is to shower your treasures, give them back to existence, be as unmiserly as existence has been with you. Then the tree grows into flowers, it blossoms.
And the fourth stage is that of fragrance. The flower is still gross, it is still material, but eh fragrance is subtle, it is almost something nonmaterial. You cannot see it, it is invisible. You can only smell it, you cannot grab it, you cannot grasp it. A very sensitive understanding is needed to have a dialogue with the fragrance. And beyond fragrance there is nothing. The fragrance disappears into the universe, becomes one with it.
These are the four stages of the seed, and these are th four stages of human beings too. Don’t remain a seed. Gather courage—courage to drop the ego, courage to drop the securities, courage to drop the safeties, courage to be vulnerable. But then don’t remain a tree, because a tree without flowers is poor. A tree without flowers is empty, a tree without flowers is missing something essential. It has no beauty—without love there is no beauty. And it is only through flowers that the tree shows its love. It has taken so much from the sun and the moon and from the earth; now it is time to give.

Can anyone send me a link or reprint it? I think it's too old to be copyrighted, I'd love to incorporate it into my montage Kali Kills Time

a tantra inspired essay - Paradox at the Edge of Being

Following is an essay stemming from mystical experience. I was stuck for two months at Le Petite Mort, until i found proper inspiration in Sophia...:)

I have cross posted in related tribes, so sorry if you see it elsewhere!

enjoy...

----------------------------------------

Paradox at the Edge of Being: a panaroma of impossibility in Unity at the edge of being

Paradox at the Edge of Being

When you die your whole life flashes before you eyes. Such an old wive's tale is a piece of vestigial wisdom left in a Western collective mind otherwise suffering a case of severe amnesia. In our fall from God and into the ego we have forgotten our divine nature. We think we are separated from God and Nature, but we are not. An old wives tale is a reminder, a thread connecting us back.

Tracing the origin of old wive's tales backwards through the fall into history, we see them passed to us through Midwifery. In a culture of separation, women are separated from men, and the women tend to their own needs. Midwives were the doctors of the feminine community; aiding in births, treating the ill, and comforting the dying. They were suppressed and persecuted by the Church as witches. In native cultures, such witch-doctors are known as Shamans. In the roll of the Shaman we can trace the thread back one more turn in the spiral of history.

This step back is also a step up; a step up and out of the ego and into the mind of culture. In this state of less separation, and greater connection, women are worshipped instead of owned. Women not only bring forth new life, but in cycle with the heavenly bodies, the clock of the Universe, a woman bleeds but does not die. Feminine Wisdom is thus the power over life, time, and death. Each woman is regarded as a gateway to the infinite, a micro-cosm of the Universe, and worshipped as an incarnation of Goddess, the sublime Genetrix of Being. Women are the natural link connecting the culture back to God; and that is the role of Shaman, to serve as middleman between worlds.

To breach the separation from God, the ego must die. A man on the path of the Shaman must overcome his fear of death, for he must die and be born again to experience the feminine power over time and death. Jesus is the proto-typical Shaman of our culture. While on the cross he receives the final wound in his side demonstrating to all the world he has passed to the other side. But he does not die, and bears the wound as a sign of his feminine power over time and death. Medieval artists often portrayed Jesus exposing the flesh of his labial wound, emphasizing the feminine nature of the Shamanic role he has taken.

Like the women of the lost global culture, Jesus is worshipped as an incarnation of Sophia, the all pervading Spirit of God. Sophia became Sapientia in Latin, and here is another mystical thread, placed to remind us of man as micro-cosm of the Universe, made in the image of God: The Scientific name for man is Homo Sapiens- "Same Wisdom". The Medieval "doctors" who originated modern Science are telling us that We are One, sharing an origin and a Being in the unifying Spirit of God.

Before the separation of Science and Philosophy, these Medieval doctors were also Alchemists, the Shamans of their day. They operated their researches in secret to avoid Church persecution. This is the modern origin of the Occult as well as Science, as Occult simply means hidden from view. In England, these philosophers were known as "The Invisible College." The Invisible College eventually became the Royal Society. The Occult nature of their researches can be seen in work of their most famous early president, Isaac Newton. Newton viewed the Universe as a riddle in the mind of God, a "cryptogram set by the Almighty." He spent his life searching the Bible for a hidden code, and Keynes said of him, "Newton was not the first of the age of reason. He was the last of the magicians." Today, the Science has become exoteric while the Theology has remained esoteric.

When we understand that Newton saw the Universe as a riddle, it becomes clear that he was on the Shamanic path. For to die and be born again is to see the universe as a riddle with no answer, to come face to face with a sublime paradox at the edge of Being.

The French call orgasm "Le Petit Mort," or "the little death." Here we have an old wive's tale, a thread in the riddle of the mind of God. A dictionary is supposed to explain meaning and used to be called a con-cordia. Con-cordia means "with-connections." If the old wive's tales serve their purpose, finding the meaning in the connection between sex and death should enable us to trace the threads back and together, out of the spiral into time.

"Le Petit Mort" refers to the timeless moment of orgasm: a brief release from life, mind, and ego. For an instant the world falls away, and as the mind is silenced one is open to an ecstatic union as self glimpses Self. The ego is momentarily displaced: the little death.

The art of turning sex into meditation is known generally in the West as Tantra, but a specific name for the practice in the Indic tradition is Sattvic sex. Sat means Truth, Truth being the one true Consciousness behind it all. So as the 'goal' of meditation is to realize the Self, applying the same attention to sex has the power to expand the ecstasy of the little death. Ecstasy means 'to stand outside': outside the ego of self. But where the ego may die, awareness continues. This awareness is Self, and so in the 'little death' of sexual ecstasy can be found an ecstatic union in the Divine.

This state is called Dyhana in many practices. Dhyana can be the practice of attention, and also the state of Union witnessed when practicing attention. By attention I mean contemplation or meditation without object: simply watching.

On the way into Dhyana it can be understood that when you die, your whole life flashes before your eyes. For in the Union of the now and eternity, your whole life is laid out in a fractal kaleidoscope. There is only one moment, the Eternal Now, and in it we are simultaneously dying and being born. When I first experienced this, my whole life impossibly splayed before me at once, I thought that I must have had a heart attack and died while in contemplation. At the center of the kaleidoscope vision I lay in shivasana (corpse) pose with a blissful smile. I thought that, well if Peter is dead, at least he died with a smile on his face!

Here the Shamanic tradition guides strongly. For to continue one must shed the fear of death, an undertaking found most explicitly on the path of the Shaman. There are as many ways as cultures that the prospective Shaman faces their fear of death: a mortal illness or accident, a guided psychedelic trip, or guided dream trip are some examples. Death and resurrection is an essential initiatory ritual in almost all esoteric schools, from Zen and Tibetan Buddhism to the Western Occult practices of Aleistar Crowley or Terrence McKenna. For to breach the separation from God, the ego must die.

Beyond the ego, in the ecstasy of Dhyana, the fundamentally paradoxical nature of Self strikes one with wonder. For to experience the Wholeness of everything is to witness the Union of opposites: of the many and the one, now and eternity, and terror and ecstasy. One is simultaneously Alone and Everyone together; Everything and Nothing. It is a paradox at the edge of Being: A panorama of impossibility that is the world, and the Self.

The word 'Zen' comes from 'Dhyana' and is derived through the tortuous route the practice followed from India, through China, and on to Japan. Zen is perhaps the most elegant expression of the practice of liberation: Vedantic philosophy reduced to Taoist simplicity expressed in a Buddhist practice. The beauty of Zen is how it infuses the esoteric truth of the Paradox that is Reality into everyday reality through the contradictory riddles that are at it's heart. The whole point is that there is no answer. The world is the Play of a riddle with no answer. It cannot be grasped or believed, so one should simply stop the mind from grasping and believing: and beyond belief is Self.

The practice of Dhyana, or Zen, is an immediate experience, and that is an expression of the Paradox. People are always trying to figure out what to do, or how to understand enlightenment or liberation. But the point is not to try to do anything! When the mind is at rest and the ego passes You see that you already are enlightened, or liberated…and so is everyone else, for there is only one Self. There is nothing to be achieved in meditation, enlightenment is already part of You. There is no separation: of the sacred from the profane, of self from Self, or of enlightened from un-enlightened.

To give up control of the ego is to gain liberation. The death of the ego is the birth of the Divine: For the ego is the illusion of separation. And liberation is not separate. It is here and now.

Shivaite sadhus are frequently associated with tantra. Most of all the tantric information I've read seems to denounce asceticism in favor of synthesis and a more unitive approach to the world. How can these ultimate ascetics be a part of a system based on embracing the world rather than denying it? It doesn't add up for me. Anybody know a bit about this?

Duality sees fundamental order as either-or. Nonduality sees both-and.
At each level of complexity, life consists of two interdependent, non-identical polarities in homeostasis, dynamic interaction
and integral relation to each other.
Life, Consciousness
Duality and Nonduality
Duality chooses one perspective or point of view above or to the exclusion of its opposite polarity.
Nonduality integrates all singular perspectives or points of view into a comprehensive whole in a state of homeostasis

Homeostasis of Masculine and Feminine
Homeostasis implies a balance, equilibrium, metamorphosis through a continual process similar to osmosis
All spiritual and mystical texts and philosophies make constant reference to the concept of a duality of existence, polarities in homeostasis, inter-dependant, inter-related and co-dependant.

Some describe the first separation from the nonduality of Adam into Adam and Eve representing the polarities of Masculine and Feminine; then we have the nonduality of Life represented by the interaction of Heaven (masculine) and Earth (feminine); the Chinese have the Tai-Chi composed of Yin and Yang.

The homeostatic relationship between the masculine and feminine principles is the most fundamental concept in life consciousness.

If we move beyond the Literal, the conditioned interpretation of the mind to what it has been taught is the meaning of these words, all of these metaphors are referring to the same thing.

All levels of all existence occurs in duality and, that the relationship (with which most are familiar) between masculine and feminine is the basis of all existence.

In other words, it has been known for thousands of years that there is an interacting, dynamic, asymmetrical binary relationship which is the fundamental order of homeostasis in the cosmos and that this relationship underlies all phenomena in nature.
Subjective Existence and Non-Existence
The recordings of what has been described as Tantra go back to the rock carvings of the Sumerians - about 6000BCE. Now, the Sanskrit word Tantra transliterates as The Weft and Warp (duality) of the Weave (nonduality) - as in the directions of the threads that go to make up the cloth we wear.

If one of these subjective pairs (dualities) did not exist, neither would the cloth (nonduality).

Perception and the Senses
What we perceive is how we interpret the feedback from ALL of our senses to something that impinges on them. Yet, the linear mind which operates on the principle of Binary Logic is only able to see one thing at a time in singularity as existing or not existing. It is only able to interpret this based on what it has been taught on the basis of its conditioning.

I may look at a tree and, because I am sensitive to the energies of trees, may come out with all sorts of things about the history of the land around that tree - even though I have never been there before. Another person may look at the tree and not get anything. Someone else may get exactly the same imagery as I do, but because of education, conditioning, beliefs etc react completely differently to the vibration of the tree and come up with a completely different story.

Somewhere, deep in our past genetic history - before the advent of Christianity and the God being who has been, through lack of understanding of the complete picture, designated creator, there existed many peoples who used to tune in to the land, the weather, the seasons, the plants and the animals etc.

The Celts were one of these peoples. The Australian Aborigine still does. And so too, did those peoples of the middle eastern cultures who tried to describe what they knew and interpreted/understood in pictograms and phonetic representation of sound.

Words and Language
People studied these writings and, because of cultural conflicts (and many other reasons) interpreted them to mean what could be defined according to their ideology.

Thus, the original Aramaic roots of the metaphors for the masculine and feminine polarities (for example) Adam, Eve, Heaven, Earth, Sin, Baptism, Father, Mother etc have been lost in the doctrine and dogma of the multicultural mix.

The word Ca'an (Canan) simply means The Tribe who wore a purple cloth - and you can see how that has been used as some spiritual metaphor.

The word El simply meant the Tribal Elder and Sin is the old Aramaic for feminine or woman. Thus it is quite OK for everyone to be born of sin because up until now, there haven't been too many people that woman has not given birth to.

But then, Doctrine decreed that Original Sin had to be washed away by total immersion or Baptism .. which was no more than the midwives used to do to the new born - to was them of their birth products and detritus ..

Evolution of Consciousness - the Supraconscious.
Through homeostasis, the hologram is evolving - both the hologram of the warp and the weft (masculine and feminine duality) of the weave (nonduality) of the cloth.

The mind contributed to this evolution .. from the single cell that was formed in the clay of the earth (and the Aramaic ad amah transliterates as clay) obeying one simple rule .. does the environment support and interact with the life of this cell or does it not.

Thus, the primary cell (matter of life it self) born of earth was seen and described as the feminine polarity and the environment (life sustenance) in which it lived was described as the opposite or masculine. Both dualities, as shown by the Tai-Chi are in a state of continual homeostasis.

Consciousness, thus is the homeostasis or the interchange process of metamorphosis or osmosis (information transfer) between matter (feminine polarity) and its environment (masculine polarity)
The fundamental process of all life rests on a simple decision in Consciousness: Does the nondual relationship in homeostasis between the duality of the masculine and feminine principles support the absolute nonduality
Life It Self then, is the process of establishing and maintaining that absolute nonduality.
Evolution is the result of dis-ease (a masculine-feminine duality imbalance) and is the manifestation of this imbalance in form leading to mutation of the feminine principle in an attempt to find absolute homeostasis with a changing masculine principle or environmental change.
It is interesting to note that if we remove the nucleus (or brain) of a simple cell, it will still carry on its function of creating protein molecules which either defend it against a non-supportive environment or draw sustenance from those elements of the environment which are supportive.

On this very simple function of the basic building block of all life rests all judgment, discernment, duality .. all separation. It has nothing to do with mind.

The evolving human consciousness "out there" is the reflection (masculine principle) of what is going on "in here" (feminine principle) .. a chain reaction of fractal evolution - homeostasis between matter and energy which obeys simple principles - a "both/and" situation.
Existence (nonduality) can only BE because of Duality expressed as Masculine and Feminine Principles.

In other words ... If the whole human genome was to be destroyed, God, as defined by the mind of Man, would cease to exist.
